Unique, 53-page field guide, written, illustrated, and photographed by the Author, and also self-published. All artifacts are actual size except for those on pages 35 and 51. Softcover, paperback, size is approx. 8.5″ wide x 11″ high. Includes a fold-out, illustrated projectile point poster. Mr. Barnard was a graduate of the School of Visual Arts, New York, NY. Mr. Barnard began finding arrowheads as a young boy in Florida, however arrowhead hunting did not become a serious interest until he was a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the late 1960s. At the time, a guide for identifying artifacts for the region was not available to the public, so he took his finds to the Anthropology Department at UNC to be identified.
